Salon bishops, paneled and floored, is the first room of the royal suite. The lounge consists of three parts which follow in the device used in the Old Regime: anteroom, classic bedroom and office enriched with classic chairs , tables and sofas . The antechamber of large apartments named after the eight-length portraits the prince-bishops of Strasbourg, Cardinal Armand de Rohan and Gaston seven predecessors on the episcopal throne, which were embedded in woodwork. Destroyed in 1793, these portraits were replaced after Revolution by the allegories of civic virtues, the palace has become City Hall. The eight busts of Roman emperors, copies of the seventeenth century, escaped the revolutionary sales and still occupy the place they was assigned by Cardinal de Rohan
