Materials: Walnut, solid brass hardware
Description:
This antique furniture piece Crafted in Edwardian England around 1900, this wonderful triple armoire Wardrobe remains as beautiful and sturdy today as it ever was. With a lovely patina, the walnut has come to show a rich complexion and grain, while the original solid brass hardware contrasts beautifully with the wood. The carved paneling on the central cabinet doors also looks quite striking, while elegant dental moulding adorns the breakfront top. The plinth base is stable and strong, so this wardrobe does not sway. Conveniently, the wardrobe disassembles into five pieces, so it is quite easy to transport with two people. There is no wear beyond a few very minor stress marks on the base and some mirror spotting, so this wardrobe remains in excellent overall condition. see also antique throne chair english style furniture. The name of wardrobe was then given to a room in which the
ReplyDeletewall-space was filled with cupboards and lockers, the drawer being
a comparatively modern invention. From these cupboards and lockers
the modern wardrobe,
with its hanging spaces, sliding shelves and drawers, evolved slowly.
This wardrobe is really a beauty. I am very much in love with antiques. I have a few collection on my house and antiques as collection can be really expensive.
ReplyDeleteThis wardrobe is adorable! I love it!
